Job Description:

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for an Logistics Data Analyst to join our Final Assembly Line (FAL) based in Mobile, AL.

Functions as lead analyst managing a small analytics team dedicated to developing accurate and timely data and focused on providing detailed analysis for use by Final Assembly Line (FAL) Logistics Management.  Analyses reflect all levels of FAL logistical operations across the entire Logistics Value Stream and includes special projects as well as transport operations and Logistics Service Provider (LSP) functions.  Presents data in various visual methods and presents detailed analysis to team members and FAL leadership. Strong briefing skills required.

Nearby on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your challenges:

 

  • Identifies logistical issues and designs data collection models and methods to analyze problems from all directions and at all levels.  

  • Applies a variety of tools to collect, analyze and report data. Provides substantive and meaningful insight and interpretation of data, root cause analysis and protection follow on actions/improvement actions.

  • Performs sophisticated analysis of the data and prepares standardized reports on logistical matters such as Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Personnel as well as ad hoc reports using standardized and specifically collected data and reports.

  • Undertakes projects specifically targeted to identify root causes of logistical and organizational issues.  Collects relevant data and makes specific recommendations for remediation.  Organizes multi-functional teams with other FAL representatives to potentially address/achieve global improvements.

  • Utilizes data resulting from special projects to develop useful and timely recommendations to the logistics leadership team to resolve issues and improve logistical operations.

  • Organizes presentations, reports and training on a regular basis to achieve well-informed logistics management throughout the FAL.  Makes presentations on matters of general interest.  Promotes problem-solving activities throughout the FAL.

  • Supports leadership and the team when needed on general administrative tasks including, calendar management, and admin support of SQCDP and visual management boards,

  • Using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction

  • Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends. 

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Your boarding pass:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain & Logistics, Business Administration, Data Analytics or equivalent experience is required.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operational analysis, organizational engineering or production management.

  • Demonstrable knowledge of Lean Methods and processes.  Experience in Lean activities is preferred.

  • Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data.

  • Demonstrable skill in distilling information and drawing accurate and succinct conclusions from technical as well as anecdotal and historical data. 

  • High level of communications skills both oral and written is expected.

  • Adept at queries, writing reports, and making presentations.

  • SAP experience required

  • Advanced level with Microsoft Excel
