Raytheon is seeking a Senior Infrastructure / Architect to support a team who would be responsible for overseeing and improving program platform’s over-arching design, primarily in the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of program Security Products. This includes operating systems, server hardware, and configuration of private cloud environment using VMware. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for the modernization and design of the on-premises hardware infrastructure as well; including Compute server, storage, and network architecture overall; consisting of multiple complex compute environments that form the on-premises backbone for the operational critical, strategic national asset; and work to resolve any risks or issues involving system performance, availability, or security. In addition, the Infrastructure Architect will be process oriented such that they work with the team to plan for future modernization improvements and fixes while ensuring that any changes following the project’s change management processes. This position may require some on call support and overtime as needed to achieve program schedule milestones.

Clearance Requirement: US Citizenship and an active U.S. DOD Secret is required.

Specialized Skills:

  • Experience with the architecture and design of traditional Compute, Network and Storage (CNS) Infrastructure.

  • Expert level experience with the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Security Products, Networking Products, Monitoring Products, and Storage products.

  • 5-7 years of experience administrating, configuring, and deploying LogRhythm.

  • Experience with Agile Development Methodologies.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to develop content for the LogRhythm platform around current trending security events to provide real-time, relevant alarming.

  • Ability to troubleshoot problems with audit logging across multiple platforms to include Windows, Cisco, Storage, and Linux operating systems as well as custom software auditing.

  • 5-7 years of experience administrating, configuring, and deploying Tripwire.

  • 5-10 years of experience maintaining and deploying Private Key Infrastructure certificates.

  • 5-10 years working in an IT security role, with strong understanding of security postures/policies.

  • 5-10 years of Unix, Linux, or Windows administration skills.

  • Solid foundation in networking (TCP/IP and OSI layers, network routing & switching protocols).

  • Strong IT configuration and policy management experience on any platform.

  • Able to create high quality Security Analysis reports pertaining to event data.

  • Experience with recommending traceability regarding IA controls, requirements delivery and Security Technical Implementation Guidance integration.

  • Ability to prepare and present status, plans, and risks to management.

  • The ability to effectively plan their own work and the work of others on the team.

  • High degree of analytical ability and creativity.

  • Must be process oriented.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with automation tools such as Chef (preferred), Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Fabric or similar products for O/S builds, software installation and configuration.

  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux System Administration.

  • Scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.).

  • Current TS/SCI Clearance.

Education requirements:

Typically requires a BS/BA degree and 10+ years experience - STEM degree desired with emphasis in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

The salary range for this role is $103,500.00 to $212,500.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
