What are our expectations:

P&WC engines are equipped with on-board data recorder solutions (FAST™/DCTU) that transmit wirelessly engine full flight data to P&WC Ground station servers for data processing and reporting for diagnostic and health management analysis to determine applicable engine maintenance tasks.

The DPHM Ground team is looking for an innovative engineer, good team player, that can perform Ground station operational technical support and that will be actively seeking new opportunities to improve complex processes.

The candidate will also participate to data mining for root cause analysis, software development life cycle activities and documentation of Ground Station operational procedures with collaboration with Digital Team, DES engineering and customer support group.

Required qualification and skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Software Engineering with minimum 5-8 years of experience
  • Strong communication in English both verbal and written is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, SQL, PowerBI , AWS is mandatory
  • Knowledge of Message Queue Systems specially Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams
  • Experience in Object Oriented Programming skills using: Java, C#, C/C++, Python
  • Experience with Agile development, TFS and GitHub tools
  • Hands-on with unit testing, test automation, Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI/CD

Role and responsibilities:

  • Technical operational support for P&WC Ground Station applications/server’s operation and updates
  • Collaboration with Digital team to ensure the interruptions are quickly addressed and recovered.
  • Perform database queries and collect/describe in-service issues.
  • Monitor overall ground station performance, KPIs and lead Data quality clinic effort and prepare presentations for results
  • Develop/Maintain Power BI dashboard to monitor KPIs for Ground station performance.
  • Support software update deployment and testing on the servers.
  • Participate to the applications development cycle.
