We are seeking a highly driven and passionate engineer to be a member of the Diagnostics, Prognostics & Health Management (DPHM)'s Commercial Health Management field support team. The team’s main objective is to keep our engines flying smoothly and safely. The team lead position is a high visibility role that comes with the unique opportunity to take ownership of high impact issues, make a real difference to the fleet, and get close to the final product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of engineers to ensure 24/7 support of the field, delegating and prioritizing tasks, providing guidance and direction
  • Providing field/production support for control system events – analyzing data and identifying root-cause/course of action, coordinating with other groups/system experts as needed
  • Investigating emergent fleet-wide events and working with suppliers/software and hardware owners/integrated product teams to develop solution
  • Responding to requests, reporting field events and investigation status, and delivering regular metrics to stakeholders (upper level leadership, customers, suppliers, etc.)
  • Developing exploratory analytics on flight data using python to support field investigations
  • Defining production analytic requirements to analyze full flight data as it streams in real time to provide alerts to prevent oncoming engine issues
  • Fault frequency, software incorporation, and hardware configuration tracking

Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar study with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with control system software and requirements
  • Practice in root-cause analysis/data analysis/problem solving
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Familiarity with Databricks development platform and AWS cloud technologies
