We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer – Antenna Radiator Design to join our Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) Antenna Products (AP) team in Dallas, Texas. The HWEC AP department is responsible for full-scope Independent Design, Verification & Validation (IV&V) solutions for antenna products, including architecture trades, design, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of antenna systems and associated integrated system verification solutions.
The Senior Electrical Engineer – Antenna Radiator Design will have responsibility for the design, development, and deployment of Radio Frequency (RF) passive circuits (radiators, RF manifolds, RF transitions, etc.) and electromagnetic (EM) modeling.

Primary Responsibilities

Work under the direction of project team lead(s) with other similarly skilled engineers to execute program technical scope for antenna radiator design

Implement best practice standards regarding the planning, coordination, and execution of RF passive circuit design and EM modeling with sound engineering process discipline and leadership

Develop RF design solutions that meet program cost, schedule, and technical requirements

Create design models and documentation using standard engineering design tools

Effectively communicate technical information in formal design review setting

Provide hands on support to product testing within an engineering test environment

Share knowledge and provide mentoring to other engineers on the HWEC AP team
Required Skills
-
Minimum 5 years of related experience
-
Experience in passive circuit design and EM modeling
-
Solid understanding of antenna engineering principles including phased array theory
-
Demonstrated ability to perform structured design processes, root-cause problem solving, and successful on-time / on-schedule task execution

Willing to participate in advancing the state of the art with regard to radiator design and EM design and modeling through continual innovation
-
Working knowledge of test equipment including Antenna Ranges, Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, etc.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

Ability to gain a US DoD Secret clearance
-
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Desired Skills
-
Experience with Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, Matlab, and AutoCAD.

Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance as well as the ability to obtain special access clearance(s)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education
-
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations

Prefer a master’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics with a minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience
