Job Description Qualifications:

The Chief Aerospace Safety Office (CASO) at Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Speak Up Project Management Specialist to lead the day-to-day operations of the Product Safety and Quality employee reports initiated through Speak Up, as a part of the core Business Operations team supporting Safety Management System, Aerospace Safety Analytics and Global Aerospace Safety. We are looking for experience in leadership, project and process management working with executives at various levels, flexibility to support various time zones. This position will be based out of Seattle, WA, Everett, WA, Huntington Beach, CA, St. Louis, MO, etc.     

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support Speak Up process, tool, and training improvement projects.
  • Actively manage Speak Up reports and/or a portfolio of reports throughout the lifecycle of the reports, ensuring timely and effective investigation, mitigation, and closure.
  • Demonstrate the use of information gathering, analyzing, and identifying implications in order to make decisions, monitor progress and to make changes as required.
  • Provides leaders actionable data analytics and recommendations to accomplish actions and ensures follow up for issue resolution.
  • Creates executive presentations and prepares executives for internal and external meetings and events.
  • Collaborates with executives, senior leaders and team members to determine and prioritize business needs.
  • Ability to understand the big picture and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance. anticipate future events
  • Leverage best practice, lessons learned, benchmarking to develop, and mature processes and procedures
  •  Maintains effectiveness while managing changes, adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, and requirements
  • Develops and maintain positive relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Provides training and coaching and guidance to less experienced personnel.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 5% of the time.

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at one of the listed locations options with some virtual work flexibility. All candidates will be expected to travel 5% of their time.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience managing projects that involve cross-functional or cross-business unit teams.
  • 5+ years of experience with safety, quality, or compliance.
  • 5+ years of experience with executive leadership communication and presentations.
  • 5+ years of experience with Program Management Best Practices (PMBP).
  • Willing to travel 5% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10 + years if related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience with employee reporting, such as airline industry ASAP programs
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Experience working with Safety Management Systems

Typical Education & Experience:

Mid-Level (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.)

Summary pay range for Mid-Level (level 4): $115,600 - $125,120

Summary pay range for Senior (level54): $141,950 - $153,640
