Pricing Analyst. This position is within Space Systems Pricing and Estimating organization.  This position is an onsite work arrangement based out of Windsor Locks, CT. The team offers visibility to and requires extensive contact with all proposal team members, subcontractors, customers and Senior Administration. The ownership of this activity, in concert with the other proposal volume stakeholders, is key to winning new business.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for the preparation of various types of proposals for development, production and competitive contracts including modifications to existing contracts.  In addition, the Pricing Organization supports gate reviews, Government audits and negotiations with the customer.

This role will be performed ONSITE at our Collins Aerospace location in Windsor Locks, CT.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Developing pricing strategies - Lead/contribute to the development of pricing strategies (this includes understanding customer MIR’s-most important requirements, potential future work, affordability initiatives, program financial objectives, risks, and opportunities)
  • Work with other functions from across the company to understand and evaluate the labor, material and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts and the associated program
  • Prepare and present Gate charts for program / company leadership review of proposal financial information
  • Perform detailed and complex analysis of inputs to ensure soundness in our estimates
  • Meeting schedule/deadlines and meeting compliance requirements in order to submit compelling and winning cost volumes
  • Supporting and guiding the proposal cost team
  • Development of Excel cost models to support proposal efforts for should-cost and pricing reviews with Administration

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree or Finance, Accounting or Business is preferred.
  • Prior experience with industry pricing tools or the ability to rapidly master ProPricer Pricing tool.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel.
  • Detail oriented and capable of producing current, accurate, and complete cost proposal documents on which the corporation can rely on for significant decisions or offers to sell.
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation
  • Experience in functional estimating, program business and/or functional business roles is highly desired
  • Working knowledge of industry pricing tools such as ProPricer
  • Working understanding of, and be capable of applying, the FAR, Part 15 requirements, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and the requirements in our Cost Estimating Manual, in the development of proposals.
  • Possess strong analytical abilities
  • Respond effectively to requests from the USG or Customer
  • Ability to apply Raytheon Technologies CORE tools and methodologies to continually improve the process
