Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst, Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) Finance, Pricing. You will work with cross-functional teams locally as well as internationally and will serve as one of the lead analysts of our team in dealing with numerous accounting and financial responsibilities across the site. You will also play a crucial role in analyzing complex data and processes, by providing strategic insights to drive operational excellence.

The Landing Systems, Wheels & Brakes business designs, manufactures, and repairs a wide variety of aerospace components for a multitude of different operators on a variety of platforms. With locations around the globe, strong margins and over $1B of sales annually it is a business of increased capital investment and a strategic asset within the Collins Aerospace/RTX portfolio.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop cost estimates and financial analysis for aftermarket quotes to aid management in business decisions that support contract negotiations.
  • Assist in creating the financial return analysis, termination and liability analysis and expenditure analysis.
  • Perform estimate at completion (EAC) contract reviews, analyzing historical actual results and forecasting remaining contract activity.
  • Act as the finance focal of a region, partnering with contracts and regional business managers on contract settlements and ad hoc requests.
  • Coordinate cross functionally with other global sites to accumulate and analyze data from other departments such as Program Management, Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Contract Administration and from suppliers.
  • Applicant will work with bills-of-material, purchase order data, supplier quotes, manufacturing routings and overhead rates to create the cost proposals. Reconcile current year financial results to proposed out-year results.
  • Create cost proposals in Microsoft Excel, Word, or PowerPoint in response to customer inquiries and accumulate supporting data for each proposal in accordance with the customer requirements. Accurately document the assumptions that the cost estimate is based on.
  • Able to work independently with accuracy and timeliness. Determine their daily priorities working with a volume of proposals and problem solving.
  • Participate in or lead cross functional continuous improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency of the cost estimating process.
  • Work in coordination with the controls team to ensure the processes are following the controls guidelines as defined by the Controls team. It includes supporting any internal, external, or governmental audits, SOX requirements and any other audits.
  • Travel up to approximately 10% internationally and domestically when circumstances permit.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Experience developing cost estimates and financial analysis data.
  • Experience in ERP software system.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
  • CPA/CMA or CPA/CMA.
  • Experience in ERP system (SAP preferred) and experience with HFM.
  • Advanced Excel skills, Microsoft Office suite of products.

The salary range for this role is 62,000 USD - 124,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
