Position Summary:
As the aftermarket logistics supervisor, you will be accountable for the day to day material logistics for the aftermarket site. You will manage a team of hourly workers that manage the material crib, inter-plant deliveries along with site shipping and receiving. Reporting to the site logistics manager, you will be responsible for ensuring production support and successful movement of materials throughout the aftermarket site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervisor hourly materials handling team
- Manage all freight and distribution services, including shipping and customs brokerage services to ensure customer requirements are met
- Ensure required transport and shipping documents are available and completed
- Ensure correct freight implementation of transports and efficient routing to meet business, regulatory, and policy requirements
- Responsible for day to day movement of materials between plants, vendors, and customers
- Ensure material department compliance to policies and procedures
- Ensuring efficiency of receiving dock operations, packaging and shipping, and warehouse operations
- Collaborate with leaders across the enterprise to formulate material, production and logistics plans and requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, supply chain and 5 years experience in business, manufacturing or related field; OR An Advanced Degree and 3 years experience; OR in lieu of education 9 years of related experience can be considered.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using manufacturing or enterprise planning tools (SAP)
- Experience in Shipping and Receiving
- Experience using manufacturing/enterprise planning tools (ShipERP)
- Experience with DOT Hazmat
Additional Information:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
