We are looking for a Semiconductor Engineer interested in leading the semiconductor release process activities from specification to production readiness for advanced semiconductors design and release.  This high-performance engineer will be depended on to build strong partnerships with internal team members responsible for architecture definition, commercial negotiations, electronic control unit (ECU) design as well as semiconductor IDM and fabrication partners. This individual will also be depended on for the delivery of a multiple multidiscipline semiconductor design and manufacturing projects including, end to end project planning, scheduling, risk management, resource management, stakeholder engagement, budgetary performance, sequential status reports, and both internal and external communication.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Building partnerships and work closely with functional counterparts across engineering, purchasing, procurement and design to execute work in accordance with enterprise semiconductor strategic objectives.
  • Building strong semiconductor partner working relationships ensuring clear understanding of semiconductor portfolio, roadmap, design and manufacturing process, supply chain business arrangements. 
  • Planning and managing multiple semiconductor release projects. Management of product development cycle, from inception to mass production.
  • Creating and maintaining of project management plans for product development cycle, work with key stakeholders to define project goals and charter.
  • Managing project schedule, budget, and task details by utilizing project management tools.
  • Leading Product Development Team consisting of all internal and external stakeholders involved with ensuring components are designed, produced and production ready.
  • Developing written specification(s) for semiconductors within scope of responsibility to facilitate on-time sourcing and integration with ECUs in accordance with internal design process and program timing.
  • Managing ongoing process/product design changes related to semiconductors within scope of responsibility.
  • Establishing clear plans for execution per program milestones and anticipate/mitigate risks.  Monitor & Track Progress and proactively escalate issues as required.
  • Performing other duties as required

 

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience preferably in semiconductor field.
  • Strong knowledge in one or more of the following: Automotive processors, SoCs and MCUs, memories, power management semiconductors, serial data communication semiconductors, wireless communication and HV semiconductors etc.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical architecture, data flow, safety, cybersecurity, and validation requirements.
  • Exceptional collaboration and teamwork skills; demonstrated ability for working across functional and organizational boundaries.
  • Exceptional demonstrated experience leading projects to completion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written skills
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in engineering.
  • Solid understanding computer architecture (x86 and ARM), memory hierarchy, various serial data and wireless communication protocols, HV BEV architecture.
  • Strong understanding of IC design and fabrication
  • A strong focus on program management, metrics, data, and results
  • Technical background in semiconductors design and fabrication.
