Scheduler (Production Planner)

We are currently recruiting for a Scheduler (Production Planner) to join our Customer Service team.  In this role you will be working closely with the Key Account Managers and Workshop Operations managing the flow of engines through the workshop.  You will operate in a dynamic environment where problem-solving skills will be tested regularly. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to use their strengths and ideas to enhance the scheduling function. We are seeking a forward thinking and adaptable person with a 'can do' attitude' to join our team.  

Your Role

  • Ensuring engine visits are efficiently scheduled and within cost and turn time targets
  • Modifying, updating, and issuing Engine Centre plans
  • Monitoring production resources and making sure they are utilised efficiently
  • Planning and reviewing capacity
  • Making fast accurate decisions in response to changing business and customer needs
  • Supporting Production by providing clear targets
  • Updating of milestone recording and tracking systems

Your Profile

  • 3+ years scheduling or planning experience – aviation or engineering background is beneficial
  • Technical understanding and interest in engineering
  • Level 4 tertiary qualification in a technical field is desirable 
  • Strong computer literacy, particularly with MS Excel.  SAP experience would be an advantage. 
  • Confident to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated initiative
  • Strong ability to prioritise and manage competing demands, with a ‘solutions’ focus
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and good time management
  • Strong team player, with the ability to contribute to and work effectively in a small team environment
  • Legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
