Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Experienced Workplace Coach (General Mechanic) to join the team at our site in San Antonio TX. In this role you will be critical in the effort to reduce rework and improve first time quality, promote safety, and initiate process improvement across all Aircraft Programs. Your structural expertise will be instrumental in building a strong versatile work force that will drive down cost while bolstering production.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria.
  • Analyzes and interprets data.
  • Provides feedback on assessment results.
  • Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to accomplish company initiatives using Lean methodologies or other applicable tools and processes.
  • Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans.
  • Works under general direction.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience with modification experience at an airline or an MRO.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with aircraft fuselage or wing structures assembly, maintenance or repair
  • Minimum of 10 years' of experience in Aircraft Repair, Tooling/Tooling Operations, and/or Modifications across multiple platforms
  • Minimum of 10 years' of experience with avionics, flight controls, hydraulics, fuel, electrical systems, vehicle management systems, aircraft rigging, towing, jacking, structures, propulsion elements, landing gear, and payloads into an air vehicle
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a proven leader with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints
  • Work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
