Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Returnship Program is designed for individuals looking to relaunch their professional journey after an extended STEM career break or absence from the workforce. The programme provides an initial 12 week salaried fixed-term contract, with the goal of successful candidates achieving a permanent position within the organisation!

Major UK programmes such as Apache, Chinook, C-17, P-8A and Wedgetail are supported and delivered by Boeing Defence UK (BDUK), a subsidiary of The Boeing Company. This role requires skills and knowledge of maintenance practices and techniques within Aviation.  The post will work alongside other technicians, so teamwork is required.

Skills and Experience:

Familiarity with the aviation maintenance environment either through working or training or both.

Any required qualifications:

A technical or vocational qualification equivalent to UK NQF Level 3 or higher in a subject relevant to aviation maintenance.

Outline of initial work/role to be undertaken during the 12 week placement:

Line maintenance tasks and anti-deterioration maintenance tasks on the Apache AH-64E or Poseidon MRA MK1 depending on location

Working Pattern (Site/Hybrid/Remote):

Day shifts over the 12-week placement, moving to join a shift pattern should the role become permanent.

Work Authorisation: This position does not have sponsorship approval. This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Security Clearance requirements: Eligibility for SC level security clearance is required - To be eligible for clearance you need to be a British National and have lived in the UK for the past 5 years with no breaks. Other Nationalities  may also be considered, but 5 + years living in the UK is essential.
