Summary:
The Collins Aerospace Applied Research & Technology organization seeks candidates with excellent software skills and a passion for aerospace to join the Networks & Embedded Systems Group in Cork, Ireland.
This is a research-focused role to shape future aerospace technologies. As key requirements, we seek:
- innovative thinkers with programming skills across multiple languages;
- experience with agile development methodologies and tooling for CI environments,
- strong aptitude in mathematics, modelling, and numerical analysis
- keen interest in software and technology trends;
- solid understanding of the software life cycle, testing tools and good design principles
Experience with networking technologies and protocols, containerization (e.g. Docker), orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, UI frameworks such as React or exposure to ML platforms and frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch would all be highly regarded.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to a growing research agenda for future aerospace systems within the Collins Aerospace Applied Research & Technology community.
- Participate in R&D activities within an international research community, including technology development within collaborative multi-national research programs.
- Provide competitive advantage for Collins Aerospace business units as part of a multidisciplinary and international team of experts.

Education & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science with significant postgraduate or industry experience
