Collins Aerospace in Fairfield, CA, is looking for a dedicated and skilled Receiving Inspector II to join our team. The receiving Inspector will Conduct inspections of products (parts, assemblies, raw materials, tooling, instruments, etc.) to validate compliance to design data requirements which include drawings, specifications, and contract requirements at predetermined steps in the manufacturing process using basic inspection methods and tools.

Compensation:

  • 26.75 per hour starting rate*

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday,7:00a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Overtime available and/or mandatory on a business need basis

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Inspects parts, assemblies and finished products to drawings and specifications.
  • Follows general inspection guidelines to conduct critical non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical test and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies and materials.
  • Performs complex and critical inspection procedures requiring special set-up of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from a variety of sources.
  • May conduct first article inspection of parts, assemblies, equipment, and tooling.
  • Utilize SAP (Systems Application & Procedure) to track various parts and initiate quality notifications (QN) as required.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications/Experience Needed

  • Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to use typical equipment, such as micrometers, Vernier calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, oscilloscopes, component testers and the like.
  • HS diploma with a minimum of 1year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

  • CMM(Coordinate Measuring Machines) Programming Experience

The salary range for this role is $22.35 to $30.24; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, location, and key skills.
