Department Overview:
Pratt and Whitney is a global, diverse, and innovative technology company that is moving fast to create the future of aviation. The Survivability Discipline Group which is part of the Military Engines Systems Engineering Organization, is seeking a Radar Cross Section (RCS) Engineer to be a part of our world-class team. Team members work on multidisciplinary Integrated Product Teams to design, develop, and integrate state-of-the-art jet engine technologies into next generation platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership of RCS Test Planning and Execution at various test facilities in the US.
- RCS Analysis using Computational Electromagnetic (CEM) Software tools.
- Computer Aided Design using tools such as Siemens NX.
- Design Optimization and Trade Studies using High Performance Computing (HPC) Technology.
- Travel up to 10%.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field and 5+ years of engineering or active US Military experience, or a Master’s Degree and 3+ years of experience
- Ability to obtain a US DoD security clearance SECRET or higher.
- Effective communication skills and works collaboratively on teams in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
- US citizenship required due to government contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree or PhD in Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Experience with CEM software / HPC systems.
- Familiarity with Gas Turbine Engine systems.
- Active US DoD security clearance SECRET or higher.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
