Roles & responsibility
Validate plastics or injection-mold fabrication processes.
Research and develop new manufacturing processes.
Analyze manufacturing data and suggest improvements.
Analyze production and machinery line for suitability new molds
Ensure quality output of molded components.
Develop and design engineered plastic parts, insert molded parts and assemblies.
Interact with customers, suppliers, and internal resources. Good communication skill
Establish the parameters for an optimal molding environment.
Design necessary components.
Ensure environment to make plastics is appropriate.
Analyze quality control and correct flaw.
Work with other team members and vendors.
Review existing validation reports.
Create new reports and verifications.
Analyze mold flow, part advisor analysis, finite element analysis, and stress/fatigue analysis on plastics.
Design hot/cold runner molds.
Develop 3D solid mold designs.
Create water diagrams and hot runner wiring schematics.
Prepare mold-filling simulation.
Mold manufacturing
Preparing the time plan for mold manufacturing schedule & weekly follow-up
Supporting the mold making activity along with supplier to meet the time plan
Ensuring machining sequence for mold/Tool making
Ensuring the all standards are followed by supplier as per DFM
Follow the global standard components for Hot runner system, cooling fitting & O rings
Define & determine critical spare for each tool
Define tool life along with supplier based on contract
Updating the database mold #,product # etc----
Creating mold book each mold like assembly & disassembly procedure, mold maintenance manual etc—
After mold receiving debugging along with DM staff
Collection of standard certification for material, heat-treatment & surface coating of tooling
Collection of trial report for the part after multi stages of trial;(Including the injection sample)
Document transfer to die maintenance & production team
DRAWING MAINT & UPDATES
Maintain each mold drawing soft & hard copy
Register the drawing at ISO&TS team for each mold
Periodical update of drawing based on ECN(Engineering change number),old drawing need to remove in all
location DM & production facility
Maintain drawing for jig & fixture required measurement for upstream process
Based drawing revision need to update measurement jigs & fixture
AUDIT
Periodical pre assessment audit for drawing update.
Create & maintain drawing to meet the TS16949 requirement
