Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is currently looking for a Propulsion Installations Analyst –Senior/Consultant to join the Propulsion South Carolina Engineering Team located in North Charleston, SC. This position would support multiple airplane programs' testing and certification requirements in addition to supporting technology development initiatives.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the desire to promote a One Boeing approach while representing the company professionally in demanding environments involving suppliers and USAF leadership.

Key candidates are self-motivated and willing to work in a highly dynamic, team-oriented atmosphere with the ability to work effectively with geographically diverse design centers to accomplish desired results.

Propulsion Installations Analysts must be able to support multiple concurrent projects in support of key milestones, problem solving with limited definition of data and requirements, as well as formulate proposals.

As a Senior or Consultant Installations Analyst (Level 4/5), you will have a minimum of the following responsibilities:

  • Determine appropriate paths to compliance of new or non-compliant designs to FAA/EASA regulations and Boeing requirements.

  • Present test results and compliance proposals to IPT, ODA.

  • Generate and review certification reports, compliance checklists, test plans, and compliance documentation.

  • Develop test proposals to show compliance to applicable part 25 regulations.

  • Support as a Propulsion test witness with responsibility for ensuring accurate test execution, real-time troubleshooting, and monitoring of critical test parameters.

  • Review and analyze test data, make technical observations and recommendations.

  • Lead root cause and corrective action activities for test failures.

  • Lead requirements validation and verification in support of model-based engineering (MBE) initiatives.

  • Lead trade studies required to achieve optimal solutions.

  • Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines across the Integrated Product Team (IPT).

  • Review and approve compliance documents in preparation of engineering unit member submittal

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor's of Science or higher from an accredited course of study. Engineering is preferred.

  • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience and/or combination of additional education and relevant experience in design and testing in accordance with FAA title 14 CFR 25 and/or 14 CFR Part 33.

  • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in certification and component planning, scheduling, and design documentation.

  • Ability to support occasional domestic and international travel to support our customers.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in one of the following engineering majors: Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil, and select degrees with an emphasis in structures related course material.

  • Level 5: 12 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Demonstrate engineering knowledge as a level 4/5 engineer ideally working in a Structural and/or Aerospace industry.

  • Experience with analysis of aircraft propulsion structures, power plant installations design and analysis, engine fire safety, power plant extended operations (ETOPS), and system safety assessments

  • Proven experience in leading certification efforts for complex aerospace systems.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on ensuring compliance and safety.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) in an engineering classification from an accredited course of study. Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Civil, and select Structures engineering preferred.

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred accreditation standard although not required.

Senior (Level 4): Typically, 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Consultant (Level 5): Typically, 12 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master +3 years' related work experience).

Travel: 10%-20%

Summary pay range:

Level 4: $113,760 - $154,500

Level 5: $138,900 - $187,600
