 WHAT TO EXPECT



This role is at the cutting edge of next generation propulsion systems delivery and an opportunity for an individual to play a key role in the team enabling prototype unit builds for Batteries at our Lyons Park and Whitley facilities. The role will involve working alongside the prototype planning, PME, prototype production and programme teams to deliver the propulsion unit build plans critical for the success of all future vehicle programmes at JLR. 

 

You will look at the upcoming Battery builds, ensuring that the BOM is robust and controlled through a strict change management procedure. As the BOM is aligned to CAD and the build processes, ensuring that all parts are correctly allocated and overcheck on quantities. Upfront planning is critical to the success of any build event and this role will be responsible for carrying out these activities. 

 

When issues are identified during the operations of this role, it will be the responsibility of this team to ensure that these are appropriately flagged, tracked and closed out in a robust manner that not only protects the current build events, but also encompasses the prevent reoccurrence vision to ensure continuous improvement in build preparation activities. 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 



•    Be part of the team to set up build readiness activities for each programme

•    Work with the build planning and programme teams to ensure timely resolution of all issues

•    Work proactively to track emerging issues and resolve before impact on downstream activities

•    Utilise JIRA inputs to flag and track issues for the team and ensure workstreams are aligned and tracked in the propulsion domain

•    Work on programmes through AWR process, organising the team and escalating concerns through JIRA tickets

•    Ensure ongoing build through kit launch readiness and leading the resolution of any parts issues

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 



•    Previous experience in a similar role with a proven track record of successful delivery with impact

•    Experience in creation of Bill of Materials (BOM) and associated delivery 

•    Experience in managing multiple tasks simultaneously 

•    Excellent IT package skills

•    Experience in Agile project framework

•    Knowledge of the JIRA system
