Job Summary:
The Commodity Growth Project Manager will report direct into a senior manager within the Commodity Sourcing for Growth Organization. In this role you will perform a critical function of leading and reporting on multiple projects focused on growing our supply base across all 5 main commodities: Engineered Items, Electronics, Energetics & Propulsion, Processing & Computing, and Machining. In collaboration with Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, and Supplier Performance Management, the Commodity Growth Project Manager is responsible for identifying forecasted growth requirements within existing suppliers, determining capability and capacity gaps to achieving the necessary growth, and collaborating on plans to close those gaps to achieve forecasted needs. The Commodity Growth Project Manager will use their previous technical and manufacturing experience to analyze data and identify risks. This person will also develop key relationship across organizational departments to drive risk reduction plans and communicate project results.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Analyze and interpret various Raytheon data sources regarding program and supplier forecasts
Identify supply base gaps between supplier capability and capacity against forecasted needs
Partner with other organizations to close supply base gaps and report on progress and anticipated closure
Provide input on trusted sources of data in an effort to get to a "Single Source" of data for the Supplier Management Organization
Initiate, Lead, and Report on supplier capacity status and risks
Partner with various supporting organizations to ensure supplier engagements incorporate "forecasted growth" as part of the discussions.
Partner with various technical departments to develop a supplier capability assessment model to aid in future awards and risk mitigation activities
Drive communication and adoption of Grow, Maintain, Reduce, or Exit (GMRE) supplier strategies into various organizations and receive and incorporate feedback to improve the model.
Occasional Travel - Less than 40%

Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
Ability to travel up to 40% domestically or internationally
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience of various manufacturing environments and technologies
Understanding of factors for supplier capability and capacity
Understanding of basic supply chain functions and challenges
Strong project management skills
Excellent communication and presentations skills at all levels across various levels
Highly proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word / Excel / PowerPoint)
Candidate should be self-sufficient and require minimal oversight
Experience in collaborating across organizations
Ability to drive projects to closure without direct influence
Classified clearance needed in the future
