At the Bietigheim-Bissingen site, we are looking for talents who will successfully drive the growth and further development of our LiDAR products with us.

These challenges await you as

  • Identify, plan, organize, track and document all required R&D activities within a project
  • Ensure close collaboration with the R&D PTM and other R&D resources at other sites or external contractors
  • Act as a mentor/leader for R&D activities in product development
  • Ensure consistent tracking of all R&D related activities
  • Organize/prepare/support/moderate R&D activities and R&D analyses
  • Ensure documentation of R&D activities, evidence of R&D
  • Negotiate and agree scope and common understanding of FuSa requirements with customer
  • Agreeing the development interface agreement (DIA) with the customer regarding FuSa
  • Communicate and review with customers to ensure common understanding and agreement on FuSa implementation
  • Identify FuSa requirements within the project based on customer requirements
  • Lead the design analysis to support the development of safety arguments for the appropriate product developed
  • Ensure integration of FuSa activities into the developed project based on the established FuSa development plan
  • Lead hazard and risk analysis (PHA) activities as required
  • Lead FuSa requirements and FuSa concepts for systems/components
  • Assist in defining/specifying FuSa requirements for HW and SW architectures
  • Demonstrate how the selected technical concept meets FuSa requirements
  • Collaborate with development team for effective technical solution to achieve appropriate robustness at system, HW and SW architecture level in compliance with ISO26262
  • Prepare and assist with security assessments by security assessors
  • Lead or participate in security analysis processes (e.g., FMEAs, FTAs, FMEDAs, etc.)
  • Definition of safety review and validation activities and developing the safety case for the product
  • Definition, tracking and reporting of KPIs in the area of responsibility
  • Continuously identify areas for improvement, define actions and ensure implementation in area of responsibility
  • Functional reporting to System TPM and its PG/PL FuSa Metier Manager

You inspire us with that:

  • Completed engineering studies with an electrical engineering or software engineering background or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience as Functional Safety Manager in the field of embedded electronics development
  • Experience in the field of functional safety (ISO26262 or IEC61508) and system/software development
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as ASPICE and IATF 16949
  • Professional experience in the development and quality process in the automotive industry (FMEA/FTA methods/tools)
  • Experience in people leadership
  • Excellent moderation and communication skills as well as organizational talent
  • Analytical thinking, independent, reliable and structured way of working
  • Very good knowledge of English, German an advantage
