Valeo’s Site located in Issoire (63), is a Research & Development Center and a Production Site. It employs over 570 people working on the development and manufacture of sensor and camera cleaning systems for autonomous vehicles, as well wiper blades.

We are currently looking for a Materials and Wiping Systems Test & Validation Engineer M/F who will be responsible for the deliverables within his/her scope to ensure the success of the projects (design, integration, validation of blocks/products). 

Your responsibilities:

  • Monitor the development plan for the engineering discipline within its scope

  • Examine internal requirements, customer requirements and specifications

  • Build robust validation plans and associated schedules, taking into account operational reliability in line with economic objectives

  • Support technical architecture and standardisation missions

  • Follow standardisation rules

  • Support design reviews, both in-house and with suppliers (Compliance matrix, product FMEA, DRBFM, Design Review DVP&R, etc.)

  • Conclude whether products comply with defined requirements and propose action in the event of non-compliance

  • Maintain the laboratory's resources (maintenance and calibration) and participate in the investment plan

  • Develop test and characterisation resources to support innovations or customer expectations 

  • Write job descriptions and test standards

  • Place orders and contact suppliers

  • Carry out or support the Engineering Discipline in simulations, coding and design validation

  • Performing or supporting the Engineering Discipline in design calculations, including worst-case statistical and thermal studies

  • Carry out or support engineering discipline tests: tensile/compression test, coefficient of friction, various ageing tests, wipe quality, durability, corrosion, chemical tests, etc.

  • Reporting on the progress of your tasks

  • Escalating risks

 

About you :  

You have a degree (Bac+4 to Bac+5) in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering, and at least initial professional experience in the testing and validation of materials and technical products. 

Versatile and organised, you are known for your good interpersonal skills, your team spirit and your ability to make proposals. 

You have experience in the automotive sector or related industries. 

Your level of English enables you to express yourself fluently both orally and in writing.
