Position Objective:
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful management the project schedules for Product and Aftermarket Engineering. They will act as the lead of Integrated Product Development teams with projects for commercial and military platforms utilizing the business NPI tools and processes. Will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project planning, execution, interfacing with internal departments, and interfacing with our customers on small to medium complexity projects.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible for effectively developing and managing project schedules for Product and Aftermarket Engineering of Seating products.
- Ensures all project milestones are achieved within identified and documented time, budget, and performance expectations for small projects or discreet tasks within multiple projects.
- Monitors projects from initiation through first production delivery.
- Utilizes the Collins CMS Project Management tools and systems on projects
- Evaluates, develops, and/or implements standards and procedures for project management methodology, practices, procedures, and tools.
- Maintains the necessary project metrics.
- Functions as the Integrated Product Development Team Leaders, coordinating numerous functional disciplines in support of project execution.
- Facilitates communication between functional groups and with the client.
- Identifies improvement opportunities and participates in continuous improvement activities for the Project Management and Integrated Product Development Team processes.
- Monitors and reports the status of all projects to Engineering management staff, project sponsors, clients and other stakeholders.
- Utilizes SAP to monitor production and business data and to drive procurement/manufacturing requirements.
- Adheres to all RTX rules and codes of conduct.
- Performs other duties as required to ensure project success and improvement Collins' product development processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with New Product Introduction.
- Military project management experience

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
