WHAT TO EXPECT



You will be an experienced Project Engineer who can lead and support new projects and infrastructure upgrades on the Proving Ground from inception to completion.

 

You will be responsible for managing many aspects of the projects and infrastructure upgrades, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. 

 

You will work closely with the PG lead engineer, PG operations, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver a world-class testing facility.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities



•    Collaboration with key customers to support the planning, design, budgets and construction phases of proving ground projects

•    Coordinate with, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project alignment with company goals. Ad well as monitoring construction progress and ensuring adherence to quality standards

•    Support with strategic development and Infrastructure project delivery for the Gaydon Proving Ground as well as annual hires for leased equipment & facilities

•    Creation of CAD drawings to assist with project scope and delivery.

•    Support with project justifications, business cases & approval papers Project Initiation Papers (PID), Manage external contractors & compliance, including JLR process



WHAT YOU’LL NEED 



•    Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is desirable with experience of managing complex construction projects from conception to delivery

•    Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations

•    Excellent communication and organisational skills as well as a proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), experience of managing daily client/customer relationships and service delivery

•    Previous experience within a H&S and/or structured process environment e.g IOSH or NEBOSH certification is preferred. Previous project management or CAD experience in infrastructure, facilities, construction projects or civil engineering sectors.

•    Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver with minimal supervision. Able to build rapport easily with others, Flexibility in your working hours and location, to cover weekend, shifts & Fen End Proving Ground as required.
