What you will be doing: 

  • Guide teams through daily human-centered design activities — across a variety of modalities and use cases — to establish and refine our digital product vision
  • Own discussions and strategies that facilitate collaboration with multidisciplinary, global teams
  • Mentor other UX team members
  • Lead and contribute to the definition of product requirements
  • Define and present user experiences, concepts, and strategies to stakeholders that champion the best possible user experience
  • Define and promote standard design principles and ways of working
  • Work closely with UX research team to understand user behaviors and needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

What you will need: 

  • 7+ years of experience with a strong portfolio that demonstrates leadership in user experience, product, or interaction design across multiple touchpoints and modalities
  • Experience with Agile and scrum methodologies that deliver into software development lifecycle
  • Experience leading a team of designers and researchers to solve complex problems
  • Experience with DesignOps  and/or design systems within the HCD process
  • Are resourceful, conscientious, and self-motivated
  • Are capable of building and maintaining strong relationships while advocating for meaningful improvements to our customer experiences
  • Excellent collaboration, observational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills alongside the desire and ability to see things from multiple perspectives
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical work experience

 

Additional preferred qualifications

  • Experience with UX research, both qualitative and quantitative methodologies
  • Experience working in the automotive industry
