Title: Logistics Programme Manager
Location: Collins Aerospace – Marston Green
Position Summary
To support our Global Airline customers and partners with Aircraft on Ground and turnaround support, we have an extensive stock of exchange inventory at various strategic locations globally. An exciting opportunity has arisen to manage this service, the primary responsibility of the role is to ensure that the correct assets are in the correct locations and are accounted for.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop a strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders to optimise inventory utilisation.
- Manage all inventory which includes Aircraft on Ground, Customer, Campaign & Turnaround time assets.
- Develop strong relationships with Collin’s customer response centre and Marston Green exchange teams.
- Establish criteria for all exchange types and ensure compliance to this process.
- Report pool status, identify gaps and escalate urgent matters.
- Collaborate with the operations teams to ensure adequate stock replenishment.
- Continuously right size inventory, manage disposals and appropriate justification for expansion.
- Manage inventory to include (stock take, shelf life, Stock transfers etc)
- Support strategic customer reviews and visit as required.
- Compile and communicate customer performance metrics.
Essential Criteria
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Programme or Business management or relevant experience in a logistics or programme management type role.
- Customer comes First Attitude
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the business, internally and at RTX and the customer base.
- Positive ‘can do’ problem solving approach to work.
- Willingness to travel and be adaptable to customer time zone requirements. Leadership skills in a matrix management environment.
Desirable Criteria
- Team management experience is desirable.
- Experience in a customer facing, contract management or Logistics role desirable.
- SAP experience to include (Part Master Generation, Alternative Part setup, SAP location setup, XClass, TAT exchange) is desirable.
