Responsibilities:
- Resolve technical operations disruptions for operators and team leaders as first line of technical support to production
- Interpretation of technical data such as Engineering Drawings, Quality Assurance specifications, etc., which will flow down into process work instructions.
- Overall process/part family knowledge facilitating real-time problem resolution.
- Create work instructions for new processes including definition of tooling and process parameters.
- Review & modify tool designs, track and implement tool changes and corrections.
- Lead Root Cause & Corrective action investigations using root cause analysis tools.
- Perform technology and process development tasks; including first piece runs, measurement system analysis and capability assessments.
- Complete First Article Inspection reports
- Implementation of lean process improvements activities to meet schedule and cost targets.
- Lead development of new manufacturing and quality technologies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or other related Bachelors’ degree
- 2+ years of engineering experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge of NC machining and assembly processes, including cutting tool application. CAD experience is desired.
