Summary of Role:

We are recruiting for a Production Manager based on-site in Glenrothes and Livingston, in a working environment where everyone can grow and contribute as part of a successful, inclusive, high performing culture.
The Production Manager will be a key leading figure within a customer-focussed cross-functional team and will be responsible for the manufacture of a range of electronic and electro-mechanical products, managing a team of Production Supervisors, Associates and Engineers. Driving the teams to delight our customers with flawless execution in delivery, quality, safety, and cost.
Main Duties:
- Development and execution of production plans to achieve customer on-time delivery.
- Management of high mix / high changeover / frequently changing priorities using Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Employee Performance Development
- Ownership of all safety procedures
- Driver of process and quality improvements utilising CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence)
- Control Account Manager (CAM) for the Manufacturing function
- Control of touch labour Hours Per Unit, and other manufacturing budgets
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
- Relevant years’ experience in a Production Management or Manufacturing Engineering role in an Electronics / Electro-mechanical environment
- Experience in management of budget versus bid
- Qualified to Degree or Diploma level in a Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Operations related discipline.
Desirable:
- Highly effective people management skills
- Highly effective organisational and communication skills
- A highly effective, disciplined approach in the work environment
- Experience in using SAP / shopfloor control systems.
- Experience in EVMS (Earned Value Management System)
