Collins Aerospace is looking for a skilled Production Maintenance Specialist to performs a variety of operations assemble precision electromechanical products such as signals intelligence gathering electro-mechanical products.

The selected individual will perform tasks such as soldering, mechanical assembly, and test. Uses precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specified tolerance. Assembles, disassembles, repairs and reassembles precision assemblies and corrects malfunctions. May assemble and modifies prototype precision units for engineering personnel. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The Manufacturing/Operations professional reports to the manufacturing manager and works to build and test electronic equipment in manufacturing.

  • Utilize Manufacturing Management System (SAP PRISM) to update material/work orders, and status to internal customers as required.

  • Build/manufacture cables, chassis, electro/mechanical assemblies. Contribute to test of systems. Participate in discussions to assure manufacturability.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Must have a minimum of 4 years working experiences soldering, mechanical assembly, and or test. Have experience with precision measuring of instruments to ensure conformance to specified tolerance.

  • Must have experience with assembly or disassembly, experience with repairs and reassembles precision assemblies and correct malfunctions.

  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

  • Previous work experience with test engineering in a manufacturing environment. Experience dealing with stockroom/material stores.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office software and database applications

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.

The starting rate of pay for this role is $21.63/hour; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
