What does the role look like?

Reporting to the Operations Manager, your new role will be to ensure the safe and effective running of Wolverhampton Operations, while being responsible for delivering customer demands on time and in full.

The position will include working a 2 Shift Pattern as follows:

  • Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6am to 1.30pm (1pm finish Friday)
  • Week 2: Monday to Friday, 1.15pm to 9pm (7pm finish Friday)

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

  • Setting daily and weekly work plans for shop floor and producing Key Performance Indicators on plan to actual achievement
  • Stock Accuracy and Inventory Control
  • Liaising with all customers both internal and external and communicating dates to their lines of balance
  • Managing escalations when deviation from plan occurs
  • Management of Engineering change
  • Management of SAP bookings in line with agreed processes & procedures
  • Working with the production team and shop floor to ensure OTIF is achieved
  • Clear communication off all customer commits to all areas of the department
  • Support and develop your team members to progress their careers

What will you bring to the role?

Essential skills:

  • Good communication and influencing skills.
  • Flexible and adaptive to support all business needs.
  • Previous experience working a similar role within a Manufacturing / Production Environment

Desirable skills:  

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • SAP experience would be desirable - training can be provided.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement techniques such as Kaizen
  • Highly motivated Individual with excellent verbal and communication skills
  • 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing / planning role
  • Experience working within Aerospace / Automotive Industry
  • Ability to work within a team whilst having an ability to show initiative.
  • Lead by example mentality
