Valeo Wiper Systems Plant in Skawina specializes in the design, manufacturing, painting and assembly of wiper blades, arms and mechanisms. Additionally, in 2013 production of motors for wipers has began. Plant’s main activity is supported by a modern research and development center which is currently employing about 100 staff members

Currently at Valeo Wiper Systems in Skawina we are looking for a Product Architect.

 

Your challenges:

  • Analyze the Stakeholder requirements, build the compliance matrices with the support of the other disciplines & platforms

  • Responsible for product architecture definition and architecture tradeoff

  • Accountable for delivering product system requirements specification and product architecture design according to Valeo and Automotive Spice System Process standards.

  • Ensure the correct understanding of the product specification by the other disciplines & platforms.

  • Responsible for issues analysis at product level

  • Lead Design-to-Cost review within DC 

Analyze the product requirements

  • Analyze the stakeholders needs (Customer and Valeo)

  • Elicitate requirement with the stakeholders

  • Define the functional and non functional product requirements

  • Identify the system functions and allocate requirements per functions

  • Uses modeling and simulation techniques for ensuring correct requirement definition upfront

Design the product architecture

  • Elaborate the function breakdown in order to allow allocation on sub-Systems.

  • Lead the system architecture definition, provide a product breakdown structure.

  • Allocate function and detailed requirements to each sub-systems

  • Define the interfaces between sub-systems and ensure interoperability

Design to cost

  • propose physical architecture alternatives and select the best compromise in collaboration with component contributors and process engineer (Platform integrator, Electronic ECU, disciplines contributors)

  • Support RFQs, lead architecture concept definition and deliver or contribute to the compliance matrix

  • Contribute to the product functional development plan, contribute to scheduling product function maturity level per customer delivery

Secure product robustness and apply standards

  • Delivers product design FMEA content, identify/quote technical risks and propose architectural solutions to mitigate

  • In coordination with Component contributors and Validation Engineer contribute to the integration and validation plan

  • Enforce standards discipline solutions  

  • Support discipline Design Review

  • Respect standards & rules allowing requested Aspice level

Contribute to discipline improvement

  • Capture and document architecture best practices and share between DCs

  • Capitalize the know-how (Standardization, Specifications, technical reports, processes and guidelines)

  • Interface with customer for discipline architecture content

  • Participate to discipline meetings

Contribute to Project

  • Respect the project objectives in terms of Quality, Cost and Milestones

  • Deliver Work product on time, Contribute to define project budget and respect it

  • Participate to project meetings

  • Establish traceability from customer to system design requirements and demonstrate that all customer requirements are covered by successful tests

  • Pilot the reviews of  the system requirements  with the Components contributors, test disciplines and his peers

Join our team if you have:

  • Engineer or Master of Science degree

  • Engineering Degree (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Physics) or equivalent

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in his domain

  • 5-year experience with system, ideally for embedded solutions. Experience in the automotive industry is an advantage

  • People's experiences in products similar to Visibility products is a plus.

  • Knowledge of architecture modeling tools

  • Knowledge of automotive communication networks (LIN/CAN/Ethernet)

  • Polish Language (Fluent would be an advantage), English (Upper Intermediate)
