The East Hartford Repair Operations has an opportunity for a Process Engineer in Rotating parts repair operations team supporting operations in 1st shift.  This is a fast-paced technical position requiring critical engine components process engineering support. The Individual is responsible for day-to-day interaction with hourly workers and other departments at various levels of management.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and execute critical projects in designated repair cell.

Work with operations & quality teams for new process plans & NC programs integrations and all quality compliance requirements.

Ensure released technical data is interpreted and implemented correctly per FAA requirements to operations.

Implement Process Improvements to Establish World-Class Repair Process

Detailed Understanding of Part Processes and operational needs to Implement solutions in CTRP business

ESOP/Process Plan Ownership & Tech-Data Expertise

Handle communications with ASE, CTS, MTU teams for new tech-data (EA/EM) or technical information requests.

Support routine technical problems and requests from inspectors and machine operators

Responsibility includes revising or developing service masters, new tech repairs, tool notifications

Lead Capital Equipment projects initiated in principle cell

Basic Qualifications:

U.S. citizenship required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or other related field and/or significant experience

0-12-month experience within a manufacturing environment is required

Thorough understanding of manufacturing process and/or repair process life cycle

Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate with individuals across all levels of an organization

Project management experience and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in MS Office, SAP and 3D Modeling is a must

Preferred Qualifications:

Material Resource Planning (MRP) / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience

Strong technical and functional knowledge of turbine engines and/or Pratt & Whitney products

Knowledge of ITAR, EAR and other applicable laws and regulations governing international trade

What is my role type?

In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. We’ve introduced role types to help you understand how you will operate in our blended work environment. This role is:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree. Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.Engineering/Other Technical Positions:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by

local laws/regulations.
