Job Summary:

Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer - Product Owner (PO) for the Command and Telemetry (C&T) Agile Development Team (ADT) on one of our premier classified programs. The PO will communicate and work closely with the C&T team, the Product Manager, and other Product Owners in support of overall system development activities. The candidate will lead a multi-disciplined team of engineers: plan, assign, status, provide technical direction, lead, and guide all Agile tasks across the team. The PO will attend technical interchange meetings with the team members and other program personnel and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development of his/her project, providing status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks as required and providing document review and resolving technical systems engineering and integration issues. Additionally, this candidate must have the ability to guide time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines.

Security Clearance: An Active TS/SCI Security Clearance

Basic Qualifications:

  • Certified SAFE Agile Product Owner

  • Knowledge of products with Atlassian tool suite, specifically: Jira and Confluence

  • Experience working in an Agile or DevSecOps development environment, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with SE, SW, Integration and Verification teams

  • Experience in some or all systems engineering functions including operations concept development, System and product design, requirements administration, technical risk management, interface definition and control

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with all levels of program, customers, and technical leads (IPTs, chief engineers, architects)

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills

  • Experience with satellite command and telemetry

  • Ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders and individual contributors

  • Ability to the identify, manage, and mitigate technical risk

  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment

  • Current TSSCI security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Systems Engineering experience on a large government software development contract

  • Program Domain experience

  • Experience as a Scrum Master

  • Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps development methods

  • Understanding of automation techniques

  • Experience with Linux or Unix command line execution

  • Experience leading a diverse engineering team

  • Experience working in a multi-discipline environment

Education and Experience Requirements:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or
6 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
