We are seeking a Principal Field Service Specialist to work onsite at Langley AFB in Langley, VA.
The Principal Field Service Specialist will provide support to the DSFS contract. This Specialist will provide sensor resource mid-level technical support and will be responsible for the initialization and operation of USAF Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) ground and airborne sensor systems at Langley AFB. This position will interface daily with users, mission planners, co-contractors, and other ground system maintainers to troubleshoot and correct problems, analyze performance, and make recommendations on improvements.
Primary Responsibilities:

Manage multiple airborne SIGINT sensor missions and processes simultaneously at a Core site
-
Operate and interface with multiple aircraft, sensors, sites, networks, systems, and O&M personnel
-
Provide updates to Maintenance Technician processes
-
Provide sensor troubleshooting and airborne fault resolution; identify, resolve, and communicate issues with Low Band/High Band Systems, infrastructure, enterprise services, other SIGINT systems; support and recommend updates to SIGINT systems, SW, and networks

Create, update, and respond to Incident tickets

Manage data encryption changes and implementation

Monitor the SIGINT system and networks health/status (Sensor, platform, network paths to include crypto, DCGS SIGINT systems, and SIGINT related enterprise services).

Provide comprehensive analysis, diagnostics and fault isolation for the SIGINT systems and networks associated with ground components

Provide comprehensive analysis, diagnostics and fault isolation for the SIGINT systems associated with End-to-End network paths/DSFS systems
-
Provide SIGINT and network sustainment support during system upgrades
-
Monitor the network’s connections between the SIGINT sensors and ground equipment
-
Coordinate efforts for sensor/system and network restoral
-
Provide SIGINT process and network improvements/recommendations
-
Create Serena Mission Debriefs; provide systems status (includes sensor) to operations and maintenance personnel, complete SIGINT portion of end-to-end mission debrief and close debrief if appropriate

Perform pre-mission, mission execution and post-mission responsibilities in support of the SR systems
Qualifications/ Experience Needed:
-
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Minimum one (1) year of COMINT experience

Experience with computer operations and networks

DoD 8570.1 (IAT Level II or IAM Level I) certification

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
-
Prior DCGS and SIGINT experience
-
Working knowledge of SEAM interface; COTS components, operational concepts; CICS SW component capabilities, failure indications, troubleshooting techniques, and recovery methodologies.
-
Experience with military SIGINT domains to include U-2, Global Hawk, MQ-1 and MQ-9 sensors and processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED) architectures
-
UNIX (Solaris or Linux) and Microsoft Windows system administration
-
Administration of COTS or GOTS software solutions used by DCGS operators and analysts (CICS, RIM, CETS, etc)
-
Experience administering VMware (containers, storage and resources) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, etc.)
-
Experience with SW development methods (shell scripts, JavaScript, Python, PHP, C/C++, C#, Java, XML, HTML, etc.)
-
Understanding and practical use of Oracle database system administration
-
Familiarity with x86-based server HW
-
Understanding of cyber security tools and methods
