Position Overview:

 

We are looking for a Principal Specialist, Contracts to support the development of proposals, as well as management and administration of contracts in the Vision Systems portfolio. This individual contributor opportunity will be responsible for the requirements analysis of Request for Proposals (RFP), participating in proposal strategy reviews and coordination, contract negotiation, contract administration, non-disclosure agreement drafting and execution, and other business agreements for three existing contracts and several new business pursuits.

 

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • This role will work as a collaborative team member with Program Management, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain and Legal.
  • Construct compelling proposals and negotiate sound business arrangements with the customer to win new business.
  • Interface with the customer on all contracting matters, and act as a liaison between the cross-functional team and the customer.
  • Advise program stakeholders of contractual rights and obligations and means to mitigate risks.
  • Offer creative solutions to contractual or programmatic challenges during execution of the program.
  • Employ change management practices and ensure continued compliance with company policies.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Experience in US Government or similar commercial contracts administration under FAR and / or DFARS
  • Experience in contract negotiations
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in all aspects of contracts from proposal strategy, proposal development, negotiation, and start-up phases of programs contract
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships Highly effective written and oral communication skills and experience synthesizing complex issues for executive leadership review
  • Experience in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Current Active and transferable Government Security clearance

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 176,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
