We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Software Engineer - C++ Embedded Developer, Muti-Spectral Targeting Systems (MTS) to join our Electro-Optical & Infrared (EO/IR) Solutions Engineering Team, which is part of our Advanced Products & Solutions group.
As the Principal Software Engineer - C++ Embedded Developer, Muti-Spectral Targeting Systems (MTS) you will design, implement, code, test, document, optimize and support systems integration in support of mission critical advanced surveillance and targeting system solutions. You will work closely with software architects and systems engineers to ensure solutions meet system and subsystem level functional and performance requirements.
Clearance and Citizenship requirement:
- Must be able to acquire and maintain DoD Secret Clearance; US Citizenship is mandatory to acquire and maintain Security clearances.
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
Required Qualifications:
- C++, C#, Java or similar object-oriented SW development language.
- Experience using a Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), e.g., VxWorks, Redhawk, RTLinux, etc.
- Experience with design, code, integration, and testing of software for embedded platforms
- Knowledge of multiple phases of software lifecycle, including software implementation and system integration.
- Familiarity with Agile lifecycle process including Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Test Driven Development Methodologies
- Developing software on Linux platforms.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
- Experience with HW/SW level interfaces
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with AI/ML in application development
- Experience developing applications with the CUDA framework for GPU platforms.
- Ability to write, run, interpret and understand MatLab applications.
- Experience working with Electro-Optical and Infrared Sensors (EO/IR) sensors.
- Prior surveillance and targeting system software development experience.
