Job Summary:
Pratt & Whitney Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO) is seeking a goal oriented, detail-focused project engineer to work as an Integrated Product Team Leader, a role based in Columbus, GA. In this role you'll be responsible for Support to Operations task execution on the Compression Systems components and associated hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and lead a large Integrated Product Team to meet task and technical requirements.
- Prepare/present status and technical content to ESTO Leadership, Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) & upper Pratt & Whitney management.
- Work closely with the IPT members and authorities on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements.
- Evaluate product improvement opportunities and initiate Class 2 engineering change executions for those initiatives.
- Work with suppliers on certification of new processes for production.
- Coordinate evaluation and disposition of quality non-conformances and supplier requests for information.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8+ years of Engineering experience, or
- An Advanced Degree in a related field and 5+ years of Engineering experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Advanced Engineering degree or MBA.
- Experience working in the Aerospace Industry, and jet engines would be highly desirable.
- Previous gas turbine compressor experience
- Working proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project, or other scheduling software
- The ability to craft clear communication and build positive relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural awareness
