Job Description:
The Raytheon Intelligence & Space Hardware and Infrastructure Engineering (HW&I) team has a professional opening for a Principal Cisco Network Design Engineer. This position will lead and perform systems/network engineering tasks pertaining to program design, development and implementation activities. Tasks include designing, documenting, building, configuring, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting large scale LAN/Data Center environments. The qualified individual should possess knowledge and experience with network technologies, services, operations and understand associated security practices. Occasional (<25%) travel to customer operational locations is required for system installation and troubleshooting support.
Clearance: An existing US Government Secret security clearance is required for this position (US citizenship required).
Required Skills:

Minimum of (8)+ years of progressively responsible experience including leadership roles designing COTS networked environments.

Experience working with cloud and containerized environments.
-
Experience with agile methodologies and lean software development practices.

Experience with the following technologies and products:
-
Long-haul circuit technologies (TDM, MetroEthernet, MPLS, etc.)
-
Encryption and VPN (DMVPN, etc.)
-
SDN (Cisco ACI, Juniper Contrail, etc.)
-
Cloud/hybrid cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, etc.)
-
Network monitoring tools (CruzOC, SolarWinds, Splunk, etc.)
-
Experience with networking security principles.
-
Experience designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
-
Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
-
Demonstrated experience successfully troubleshooting largescale cloud, hybrid and on-premise network systems.

DoD 8570 compliance at the IAT Level II at the time of hire.
Desired Skills:

Understanding of network management and monitoring toolsets.

Knowledge of storage fundamentals.

Experience with VMWare.
-
Experience with F5 or other load balancing hardware solutions.

Understanding of and experience with deploying Firewalls, ACL, NAT, IPS/IDS.
Education Requirements:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), or related STEM degree program from an Accredited University/School/College with 8+ years of related work experience.
