Job Summary:
In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish, this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.
The user engagement engineer works with our end users, customers, and program management to ensure user needs are properly addressed. This includes a detailed understanding the Multi-INT collection orchestration mission, end user intelligence needs and how to apply the system in support of intelligence needs. The user engagement engineer provides recommendations for system improvements and conducts user training and external demonstrations to stakeholders. The user engagement engineer is responsible for driving and prioritizing mission enhancements into our technical baseline and coordinating approaches across internal and external stakeholders.
This role requires the engineer to be embedded with the customer and users with a part-time presence at customer locations to ensure user needs or operational issues are well understood, and technical solutions/corrective actions are coordinated and implemented expeditiously. This role will be located in Aurora, Colorado.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Define and conduct system integration tests, including data generation, configuration settings, and test execution
- Develop training material, system demonstrations, and perform End User and Customer training
- Collaborate across disciplines and all levels in order to effectively communicate status, results, issues, and recovery/resolution plans
- Travel to user and customer locations. Travel not anticipated to exceed 15 %
- Obtain and maintain access as required by program
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting System Integration and Test, including:
- Defining and conducting integration scope
- Generating test data, configuration settings, and test execution
- Communicating status, results, and recovery plans (as applicable) to key internal and/or external stakeholders
- Direct interactions with external customers
- Engineering experience with Multi-INT Collection Orchestration missions
- Experience in system integration and test for a software system for the US DoD
- Experience with Cloud Architectures and deployment requirements for US DoD
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with Poly security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a technical leadership role of a large multi-disciplined engineering team
- Systems Engineering experience with requirements decomposition to S/W subsystems, S/W use case development and S/W feature development.
- Expertise with troubleshooting complex S/W systems and develop issue closure plans with coordinated solutions across internal teams and external stakeholders.

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
