We are currently hiring a Systems Design Engineer in Systems Engineering to join the Effectors Systems Design & Architecture (SDA) organization located in Tucson, AZ. This position is to support Effectors programs as a Requirements Development engineer / Requirements Management engineer

As Requirements Engineer, you will be expected to gain in-depth knowledge of an Effectors subsystem. You will collaborate with other Engineering disciplines to help define requirements, interfaces, subsystem behavior, and how the subsystem will integrate into the overall system and architecture. Additionally you will perform requirements flow down and allocation to subsystems as well as develop the requirements traceability verification matrix. Depending on your level experience, you will also have the opportunity to guide and mentor other team members and take partial ownership for the overall Effector system level and subsystem level requirements baseline.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

You will be responsible for obtaining in-depth technical knowledge of the Effectors subsystem that is assigned to you

You will develop subsystem requirements, interfaces, behaviors and architecture
-
You will apply your knowledge of the subsystem and collaborate with other Engineering disciplines to develop and maintain the subsystem requirements.

You will interact with Technical SMEs as necessary to fully understand the subsystem including identifying and resolving issues and supporting related subsystem trades or analysis

You will perform requirements flow down / allocation and traceability along with development of the Requirements Verification Matrix.

Depending on level of experience, you will provide mentoring and guidance to other team members
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for three (3) additional years of experience.
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
-
Minimum 8 years of prior relevant systems engineering experience or an advanced degree and 5 (five) years of relevant systems engineering experience

Experience capturing system requirements and maintaining system requirements.

Experience managing or guiding teams addressing requirements definition, decomposition, and changes.

The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:

Experience in missile systems design, integration, test, or flight demonstration

Experience with DOORS

Experience performing design or requirements development with cross-disciplined Engineering teams

Experience using Agile framework development methods and processes

Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline
