Primary Responsibilities:
• Independently manages medium to large projects, with minimal or no guidance.
• Responsible for developing the project plan, project schedule, resource plan and project budget with the project team
• Budget Ownership and management (~US$5M a year)
• Responsible for tracking recurring and non-recurring costs, including project cost.
• Responsible for ensuring scope change is identified, documented and communicated to the project stakeholders
• Performing critical path analysis and utilizing earned value management
• Tracking and monitoring project milestones
• Responsible for tracking engineering metrics like On-time delivery, Quality, etc.
• Deploying Project Management methods and procedures to ensure adherence to lay down PM practices
• Coordinating with supply chain/sourcing/purchase department for prototype development and testing/certification
• Leading project reviews with stakeholders and manage stakeholders
• Identifying Risk triggers and applying Risk Management practices to mitigate/avoid project Risks.
• Overlap with multiple time zones - India, USA, UK, France, Italy - to coordinate with Management/Leadership/Counterparts
• Flexible with Work Timing.
Basic Qualifications:
• BE / B-Tech / ME / M-Tech or equivalent degree with experience in Product and Project Development (Electronics Products/Projects)
• 12 to 16 years overall experience with at least 4 to 5 years of project management experience; preferably in safety critical systems in Aerospace / Automotive / Healthcare / Rail domain.
• Hands-on experience in software and hardware product development life cycle
• Should have hands-on experience on proposal preparation and submission
• Should be well versed with hands on key project management areas like Risk Management, procurement, Scope & Stakeholder management
• Responsible for Earned value metrics to program office and other stakeholders
• Should have experience working with cross functional teams and disciplines
• Proficient in MS Project Professional or Similar tools including resource loading and critical path analysis
• Knowledge on any product life cycle management tools
This will be an individual contributor role to influence project team to achieve project goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Aerospace design techniques, procedures and standards
• Six Sigma /ACE /Continuous Improvement/Lean experience
• PMI-PMP / Agile Certification
• Experience in DOORS, Synergy CM, Synergy Change, Polarion, will be a plus
• Familiarity with Aerospace (DO178 / DO254 / DO160) or Automotive design standards and techniques
• Experience working and collaborating with manufacturing and operations team would be a plus
