Provide Department of Defense (DoD) Personnel Security (PERSEC) support in a fast-paced environment for both on and off-site personnel throughout the world. Interpret DoD policies, guidance, and procedures in coordination with the company policies to ensure compliance of a large-cleared employee base. Core of job entails indoctrinations for DoD accesses, debriefs, citizenship verifications, visit request submittals, and all actions to support the cradle to grave upkeep of personnel clearances. Additional duties include assisting in the implementation of the Security Awareness Training Education (SATE) program. This is a junior position that will report to the PERSEC Manager for day-to-day duties.
Required:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- 8 years of relevant experience
- Must possess & maintain at least a DoD Secret clearance
- Basic working knowledge of the 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other relevant DoD security guidance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with all Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity
- Self-starter with minimal supervision
- Established the ability/flexibility to move from one task to another and to be available for a variety of tasks as the need arises
- Ability to display tact, discretion, and diplomacy in dealing with all levels of Raytheon employees
- Provide clear guidance to company employees
- Aptitude to interpret and implement security requirements outlined in customer issued DD-254s
- Basic working knowledge of personnel security administration activities (citizenship verification, DoD security briefings, classified information non-disclosure agreements, and personnel clearance justification forms)
- Basic knowledge on processing personnel for security clearances
- Ability to support Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) or other customer security assessments
- Firm understanding of what constitutes personally identifiable information (PII), company proprietary, and safeguarding methods to prevent unauthorized access
- Basic knowledge of the U.S. Government’s Defense Industrial Security System (DISS)
Desired Qualifications:
- DCSA Industrial Security Course Completions
- Exposure or basic knowledge of databases (eSecurity, ePCL, and Access Commander)
Required Education (including Major):
- AA/AS degree or 2 year post high school training
