Job Summary:

The Middletown PDC Quality Clinic Investigation Manager plays a highly visible, key management role in ensuring the successful execution of the Quality Clinic Process in Middletown. This position also offers an exciting opportunity to grow professionally and broaden capabilities while leading Quality Investigations and supervising a diverse team of highly skilled hourly employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Administrative functions as related to Bargaining Unit employees including maintaining training, quality, and attendance records.
  • Establish standards and expectations for work effort and performance for subordinates. Give consistent feedback on performance to those standards. Effectively Coach employees to improve performance when needed.
  • Interfacing with the 1st and 2nd Shift employees on daily key action activity; Conduct team communications/toolbox meetings, have effective communications with members of Management on activity status and plans; and employee team development that is responsive to Program requirements and changes.
  • Processing of assembly floor NCM issues and investigations with emphasis on smooth work flow to eliminate aged inventory.
  • Improve RCCA proficiency throughout the organization
  • Maintain Quality Clinic and individual certifications
  • Support the maintenance of all Clinic Metrics and MCAB performance report outs
  • Allocating work and assigning manpower and providing Leadership for the Employees in the areas of EH&S, ACE, FOD, Quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate the Escape Management Process for escapes, by leading investigations to determine if there has been an escape.  If an escape is confirmed, the process includes issuing of an escape (SDO, FPN, RTR) through the Product Recall system and completing all process steps through closure. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering or Sciences) and a minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SAP
  • Established background in Quality functions, processes, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with various suppliers and customers representatives
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles, i.e. Lean, ACE, QCPC, DIVE.RCCA
  • Knowledge of SAP and Quality Notifications
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the DIVE, 8D or RCCA process
  • Proven ability to lead others, develop and execute action plans, influence decisions and drive change. 
  • Supervisory experience with a Collective Bargaining Unit preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate teams using ACE Tools to obtain high levels of performance to accomplish Goals.
  • Experience with Engine Test, Gas Turbine Engines, Dimensional inspection and/or Calibration systems are also a plus.
  • Knowledge of PW 5.3.6.1 Control of Nonconforming Product and Departures to Requirements
  • Experience working in a manufacturing organization, hands on with engine hardware to determine conformance to design requirements and intent
