Job Summary:

As the Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Manager you will be responsible for supervising and leading a group of engineers responsible for development and implementation of nondestructive evaluation applications. NDE technical judgment is key in making sound data-driven decisions/recommendations to our customers.

Our organization responds to urgent field safety issues which require fast response and intensive efforts over a 4-8 month period.

You will be responsible for building effective relationships with both internal and external customers as well as coordination of out-sourced engineering and product fabrication efforts at qualified suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring technical work for completeness

  • Ensuring technical accuracy and documentation

  • Assuring that program work is met on schedule and within budget

  • Working with other management in the NDE organization to align with the long term goals of the group and coordinated shared resources

  • 20% travel

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering

  • 10+ years of NDE in a laboratory or with manufacturing processes or overhaul and repair of aerospace products OR 7+ years with an Advanced Degree

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics

  • 5+ years of experience working as a NDE, measurement/instrumentation, design and report writing background

  • Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance

  • Background working in production & overhaul environments

  • Ability to drive a culture of mutual respect, trust, and empowerment in the organization

  • Ability to craft clear communication and develop meaningful relationships

  • Experience supervising, mentoring, empowering, and motivating engineers and technicians alike to achieve optimal job performance, and progress along pathways of desired career growth.

  • Excellent judgment and professional maturity
