Network Systems Engineer

The Network Systems Engineer will be responsible in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of an organization's computer networks. They are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities and qualifications for this role:

1.   Network Design:   Design and plan network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, to meet business requirements.

2.   Network Implementation:   Deploy and configure network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.

3.   Network Monitoring:   Continuously monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and security.

4.   Security:   Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.

5.   Network Optimization:   Optimize network performance and efficiency by tuning configurations and addressing bottlenecks.

6.   Documentation:   Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures.

7.   Collaboration:   Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their networking needs and provide solutions.

8.   Vendor Management:   Manage relationships with network equipment vendors, procure hardware, and negotiate contracts.

9.   Upgrades and Patch Management:   Plan and execute network equipment upgrades, firmware updates, and security patches.

10.   Disaster Recovery:   Develop and implement network disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime.

  Qualifications: 

Overall 10 years of experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or similar.

Proficiency in network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VPN technologies.

May have deep knowledge of project management. Advanced knowledge of related disciplines within work area and

or systems.

Typically requires:

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years

prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree

in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited

by local laws/regulations.
