The Sentinel Field Service Representative (FSR) is responsible for supporting/overseeing Sentinel Radar System operation and maintenance activities in Qatar. Sentinel is the primary air defense radar for the Qatar National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS) program. The FSR oversees all the installation, test, preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS), troubleshooting, and repair activities for Sentinel Radar systems at the assigned location. The FSR is considered the technical expert on Sentinel and must be able to answer all technical questions regarding the operation and maintenance of the system. The FSR will work with the Qatar NASMAS in-country team, as necessary, to complete intermediate and depot level maintenance, fault isolation, alignment, calibration and repair verification that is beyond the authorized capability of the Qatar Air Force (QAF) customer. As required, the FSR will also assist with march order and emplacement tasks, System Integration and Checkout (SICO) events, and training event support.
In addition to supporting the Sentinel radar, the FSR will also support RTX’s High Mobility Launcher (HML). Training will be provided as On the Job Training (OJT) by in-country personnel and include theory of operation and troubleshooting skills required to support day-to-day usage of the HML. Like with Sentinel, the FSR will work with the Qatar in-country team, as necessary, to complete intermediate and depot level maintenance, fault isolation, alignment, calibration and repair verification that is beyond the authorized capability of the QAF customer.
Fullerton, CA WILL NOT be the permanent home location, only the initial on-boarding and Sentinel familiarization training will take place in Fullerton. Additional training before deployment may be required CONUS as directed by the customer. This position is located in Doha, Qatar.
This position may be accompanied and is contingent on the candidate’s ability to meet all deployment needs at all times to include passing a physical and vaccinations if required for that region.
Required Skills:
Active Secret Clearance.
Demonstrated minimum 4 years field maintenance experience troubleshooting, performing fault isolation, repair, and functional verifications of complex Missile and Air Defense systems, S band and/or X band artillery search and acquisition radar systems (Firefinder and Sentinel), or similar electronic systems.
In-depth understanding of radar systems operations is a must.
Willing to complete 1-year MOU in Qatar from the date of arrival.
Mandatory Physical Requirements for Theater:
Able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
Able to travel to an overseas location for a 1 year deployment.
Able to work outdoors in extreme climate conditions with temperatures in excess of 120 degrees.
Able to pass the required overseas medical and physical requirements prior to deployment.
Desired Skills:
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Depot maintenance experience.
Middle East customer experience.
Leadership experience and working with a team to advise and assist in effecting preventative maintenance programs and equipment record keeping.
US Military technical training and certification as a system maintainer (MOS94M).
Military experience is highly desirable, graduate of US Military radar technical school.
Required Education:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience. May substitute experience for education.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 176,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
