Job Summary:
- The Metallurgical Process Control Technician objective is to perform temperature uniformity surveys on thermal processing furnaces within the Columbus Forge manufacturing facility.
- Responsible for calibration and maintenance of electronic measurement and test equipment (MT&E); including temperature controllers, temperature indicators, and temperature recorders.
- Serve as an issue resolution focal point that works with engineering, customer service support, and operations to drive continuous improvement in products and processes.
- 2nd shift Mon-Thur 4pm-2:30am
Key Responsibilities:
- Must have a good understanding of electrical shutdowns/ safety around high powered voltage.
- Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities.
- Participate on cross functional team projects to improve the overall organization.
- Be able to work in a team environment and handle multi-tasking duties.
- Required to successfully pass annual vision screening.
- Knowledge of SAP, Solumina, and MRP will be a necessity.
- Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong presentation, planning, problem solving, organizational, project management and decision-making skills.
- Results focused work ethic to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Be able to follow written/verbal procedures and instructions.
- Possess good organizational skills. Follow all EH&S rules and guidelines.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Electrical Wiring and safely protocols
- Five plus years’ experience in quality/manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures.
Additional Information:
- Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.
