This position is for the Operations Manager for the Mission Operations Support (MOS) Integrated Product Team on the GPS OCX program.  The candidate will work across the team managing day to day operations, lead Integrated Product Team cost and schedule activities, lead Engineering Change Process efforts, manage across subcontractors and materials in order to meet assigned deadlines.

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $12K for a person with a TS/SCI clearance that can be verified and hired here at RIS
 
 

Required Skills:  

  • Understand the Systems Engineer lifecycle and change management process
  • Must be Earned Value Certified and have significant Earned Value experience
  • Experience briefing/interacting with senior program leadership and customer
  • Experience in systems engineering functions including operations concept development, requirements management, technical risk management, interface definition and control
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team
  • Proven ability to meet timelines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • An active and in-scope Secret US clearance

 
 

Desired Skills:

  • Systems Engineer lead on a government contract
  • Systems Engineering experience on a large government software development contract
  • Experience with Subcontracts Management
  • Experience with Materials Management
  • Experience in Planning and Scheduling, Command and Telemetry and/or Flight Dynamics
  • Experience in integration, and/or verification and validation
  • Experience in Systems Engineer process development and deployment
  • Experience in Operations including procedure development, training, transition planning, installation, and deployment
  • Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of developed systems to ground station operations
  • Qualified Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent

 
 

Required Education:

  • 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) typically; OR
  • 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) typically
