Job Description:
GSE (Global Services Engineering) develops innovative repair solutions to observed and predicted distress on components of all P&W Military jet engines in order to economically return the engine to service. As the Part Family Lead, you oversee technical aspects of repair development activities on a given set of hardware, including integration with CIPT (Component Integrated Product Team), CAIPT/LIPT (Component Aftermarket Integrated Product Team/Logistics Integrated Product Team), MCS (Military Customer Support), LPM (Logistics Program Management), and others.
In this role, you will:
- Assure overall system integration of repair designs.
- Coordinate source qualification activities.
- Promote RDEs (Repair Development Engineers) proficiency development through formal and informal mentoring
- Support the customer in the resolution of field supportability issues.
- Contribute to the creation and enhancement of engineering standard work
10% Travel is Anticipated
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science
- 5+ years of experience in gas turbine engine design, development, and/or Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO)
- US Citizenship due to government contracts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering or technical discipline.
- Proficiency Level 3 in a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Promote teamwork
- Experience in team leadership and formal customer communications is preferred.
- Structural analysis experience or knowledge of the P&W Class II EC (Engineering Change) process, Teamcenter, or ESW is a plus.
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, blending, plating, plasma spray, shot peening, and coating removal is desirable.
