Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level or Experienced Industrial Hygienist to join the team in Berkeley, MO!

The selected candidate will facilitate Industrial Hygiene activities in a manufacturing environment supporting the St. Louis Site and will lead workplace activities requiring additional focus on Workplace safety and injury prevention.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports the planning, implementation and assessment of industrial hygiene and occupational safety programs.
  • Implemented and assess Industrial Hygiene programs that provide consistent approaches to risk reduction and compliance.
  • Partners with manufacturing teams to investigate incidents, assess workplace hazards, and resolve safety concerns
  • Supports in providing training and instructions
  • Evaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations
  • Plans and conducts Industrial Hygiene audits
  • Conducts industrial hygiene monitoring
  • Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a safety related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Bio-Engineering, Public Health, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience performing Occupational Safety and/or Industrial Hygiene duties in an industrial environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience implementing safety improvements in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects
  • Experience developing and implementing process improvements

Typical Education/Experience

Mid-Level (Level 3):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).

Experienced (Level 4):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range (Mid-Level): $89,250 - $120,750

Summary pay range (Experienced): $110,500 - $149,400
